Dr. Nathan Jorgensen is Director of Jazz Studies at the University of New Hampshire, where he teaches saxophone, directs jazz ensembles, and is dedicated to cultivating expressive, curious, and artistically grounded musicians. He is also an active guest clinician and director throughout the United States. A versatile jazz, commercial, and classical saxophonist, Jorgensen moves comfortably across musical styles and settings. His performance credits include collaborations with Patti Austin, Terell Stafford, Bobby Watson, The Temptations, Dick Oatts, Bobby Shew, Alexa Tarantino, Gary Foster, Bob Sheppard, and Marshall Gilkes. His classical work includes performances with the Kansas City Symphony, the South Dakota Symphony, and the Dakota Wind Ensemble, as well as featured solo appearances with ensembles nationwide. Jorgensen maintains an active performance career throughout New England and is a Selmer Paris Performing Artist.
